Tread THE THREAD at twilight at the beautiful Anne Springs Close Greenway in Fort Mill! Local food, beer and live music after the runs! Whether you are new to trail running or have permanent mud stains on your calves, this course is sure to keep you on your toes! Race the 5K course or run/walk the 1 mile fun run (great for all ages). Bring your friends and family, and party with us after the race! Enjoy local food, local beer and live music till the sun sets! All runners receive an event shirt and local beer provided by Four Friends Brewing. 5K runners get a free dinner plate provided by Tin Kitchen. 5K categories are separated by male and female age groups. 5K place prizes provided by the generous support of REI and Mountain Khakis! Carolina Thread Trail Community Coordinator Travis Morehead will be at our October meeting to provide updates about the CTT, including the status of the planned trail section between Baxter Village and River Walk in Rock Hill. The meeting will be held on October 8th at 7:00 PM in Village Hall.

The pool season is winding down and we are saying our final farewell to Friday evenings at the pool with a special “Farewell Friday” at the Village Hall Pool September 7th from 6:30 – 8:30 pm.
There will be free Pizza (while it lasts) and we’ll have a Sundae Bar setup for all to enjoy. We’ll be playing Cornhole and Ladderball. Mingle with new neighbors or some old friends you haven’t seen in a while (adult beverages welcome). Be sure to bring a neighbor and join us for a relaxing end to a short week!

Twilight Movie Night, Friday, June 15th featuring Cars 2.
Seating begins at 8:15 pm with cartoons that will run until the light is just right for the movie which begins at about 8:45ish pm. Bring your blankets, chairs, family, friends, popcorn and snacks to the Village Green on Colonel Springs Way. All ages are encouraged to join us for a great night under the stars without having to travel too far or pack up a tent!

Father/Daughter Tea Party Saturday, June 16th
With overwhelming response we are inviting Dads and Daughters back to Village Hall from 2-4 pm for a wonderful celebration of Father’s Day. Don’t forget your cameras!! We will play a game as everyone arrives and then enjoy have tea party snacks and lemonade. After our snacks we will enjoy a brand new activity for 2012. Music in the Park, June 16th 7-10 pm featuring the Coconut Groove Band
The Coconut Groove Band will join us for some Parrothead favorites from Jimmy Buffett along with a little bit of the Beatles music we enjoyed last June! If it has been a little while since you celebrated with tropical flair pull out the hawaiian shirt and flip flops and celebrate Father’s Day weekend...be sure to bring along dad and granddad too!!
